Skating Strides Against Breast Cancer

“The University of Connecticut women’s ice hockey team will join the Hockey East Association and fellow Hockey East women’s ice hockey programs in the “WHEA Skating Strides Against Breast Cancer” to take place the weekend of Feb. 16-17. The Huskies will host their part of the event on Saturday, Feb. 16 as they host Boston University at 1:00 p.m.

In addition to gate admissions, each of the contests will also include merchandise sales, raffles, auctions, and other special events. All proceeds from the Skating Strides weekend will be donated to breast cancer charities, including the Friends of Mel Foundation, the American Cancer Society and Susan G. Komen for the Cure.”
